Can you cut a glass table top to an odd shape?
Yes. Round, oval and irregular tops are cut from a template. Lay a sheet of paper over the table, trace the outline, and we cut the glass to it.
How thick should a glass table top be?
It depends on whether the glass sits on a full solid surface, as a protective top does, or spans a frame on its own, as a dining or coffee table top does. Tell us how the table is built and we will recommend a thickness for it.
Can I get glass to protect a wood table or desk?
Yes. A clear glass top cut to the size of the surface protects the wood from scratches, heat marks and spills while still showing the grain.
How do I start a special project if I only have a photo?
That is enough. Send it over with a rough idea of the size and where it is going, and we will tell you whether it is achievable and what it depends on.
Can you work from an architect's drawings?
Yes. We regularly work from designers' and architects' drawings, and we will flag anything in them that will not work in glass before anything is made rather than after.
