Does an outdoor glass railing have to meet building code?
Yes. Guard height and structural loading are set by code and depend on the drop below and how the space is used. We measure and specify to the requirement, we will not fit something that does not meet it.
Does it show every raindrop and fingerprint?
It shows more than a picket railing. Most owners rinse it down a few times a year. If that would bother you, we will say so before you commit rather than after.
Which mounting system is best?
It depends on your structure. Base shoe is clean and strong on a solid edge; standoffs suit a fascia fixing; spigots are quick on a deck surface. We recommend after seeing what we are fixing into.
What happens if a panel breaks?
Tempered glass fragments into small blunt pieces rather than shards. Individual panels can be replaced without dismantling the whole run.
